Career:

Martin Bassermann has over 15 years of experience in real estate, finance and taxation. After graduating with a degree in business administration, he began his career in early 2005 at Deloitte in Munich, where he worked in the auditing department on a large number of mandates in various industries.

In 2011, the qualified banker and certified tax advisor moved to PATRIZIA AG, where he was responsible for accounting and taxes. In mid-2017, Martin Bassermann joined CORESTATE as Executive Director Finance, where his responsibilities included the uplisting to the Prime Standard and the refinancing of over €500 million. In April 2019, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of CORESTATE Capital Group.

Since January 2020, he took over the operational management of HFS AG, which was finally followed by the appointment to the Board of Directors in August 2020. Since mid-December 2020, Martin Bassermann has been the Chairman of the Board of Directors of HFS Helvetic Financial Services AG.

René Parmantier (45) was appointed Chairman of the Management Board of Corestate Capital Holding S.A. on 1 December 2020.

His professional career included the position of Chairman of the Management Board of Oddo Seydler Bank already at a young age. He was responsible for the Trading, Sales, Research, Capital Markets and Public Relations divisions until summer 2020.

He held the position of Group Head of Corporate Development and Origination for Investment Banking & Oddo Metals Germany in the newly formed Franco-German Oddo Group since August 2015. He was also a member of the Supervisory Board of Oddo Meriten Asset Management. Previously, René Parmantier was General Manager of Close Brothers Seydler Bank, which he joined in 2002. From 2004 to 2007, he was head of Designated Sponsoring at Close Brothers Seydler Bank. He also worked for Gontard & Metallbank in the Designated Sponsoring division and in Money, Foreign Exchange and Precious Metals Trading at Brandeis, Hauck & Partner GmbH.

Johannes Märklin has been a member of the Board of Directors of HFS Helvetic Financial Services AG and Management Board of CORESTATE Capital Group since 14 January 2021. As Chief Debt Financing Officer (CDFO), he is responsible together with Sebastian Ernst for the overall Private Debt division with the business units Debt Advisory & Structuring, Debt Finance, Valuation Services and Mezzanine Investments of HFS.

He has worked in the German banking sector for 25 years and is a co-founder of Aggregate Financial Services. Previously, he was responsible for Deutsche Bank’s Private Debt Syndicate in its Corporate Finance and Debt Capital Markets division with teams in Frankfurt, London, Singapore and Tokyo. In this role, Johannes Märklin developed tailor-made financing solutions for international corporate clients, including real estate companies and financial institutions, and expanded the distribution of capital market products to institutional investors in Europe and Asia.

Johannes Märklin holds a diploma in business administration from Germany and an MBA from the University of Wales.

Sebastian Ernst has been a member of the Board of Directors of HFS Helvetic Financial Services AG and Management Board of CORESTATE Capital Group since 14 January 2021. As Chief Debt Investment Officer (CDIO), he is responsible, together with Johannes Märklin, for the overall Private Debt division with the business units Debt Advisory & Structuring, Debt Finance, Valuation Services and Mezzanine Investments of HFS.

He has been active in the financial industry for over 20 years and is a co-founder of Aggregate Financial Services. Previously, he was Managing Director and Global Head of Illiquid Credit Trading at Deutsche Bank. In this position, he was responsible for underwriting and structuring financing transactions and trading in illiquid bonds and loans with a focus on corporate and real estate related credit risks.

Sebastian Ernst holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Passau.
